Mary Seat of Wisdom presents an evening on supporting people with mental illnesses and their families.

Join us either live or via live stream for an evening presentation at Mary Seat of Wisdom on Monday, October 5th from 7 – 8:30pm.

We will discuss how people of faith find support in the church and in the community for ourselves and for those we love who are living with a mental health condition. The evening will give an overview of mental illness, how spirituality plays a role in mental health, how mental illness affects the family, and where are the community resources for getting help.

Featured speakers include: Fr Rich Jakubik, a  Clinical Social Worker/Therapist, PsyD, LCSW, MDiv. and Joan & Richard DeCleene, Mary Seat of Wisdom parishioners and NAMI members, and Nathaniel Ekman, Executive Director of NAMI Cook County North Suburban.
