NAMI Brings Hope
NAMI brings hope to those who are living with mental illness and those who support them. We know that recovery is possible. We are by your side on the journey to a full and productive life.
This year's Gala is a "Virtual Gala" that will feature inspiring videos, a silent auction, and the opportunity to support NAMI Cook County North Suburban as we fulfill our vital mission - To improve the lives of individuals with mental illness, and those who love and care for them, through education, advocacy, resources and support.
The week-long, online event will introduce newcomers to NAMI CCNS, reconnect with supporters and friends, and educate the community on timely topics in mental health. Two individuals will be honored for their longtime contributions to the field.
The “Paddle Raise” is a great way to make a tax-deductible donation to NAMI, The “paddle” is typically a bid number and is “raised” by event attendees to give a cash donation to NAMI. Because this is a virtual donation, unfortunately, we don't have a real paddle to raise this year. Nevertheless, we welcome you to join us in continuing to bring our mental health services to our communities, both online and in-person!

WE REMEMBER THE LIFE OF SUSAN OCKERLUND
Our long time development director, Sue Ockerlund, died peacefully at home on Friday, April 10, 2020. Sue spent the past eight years at NAMI CCNS and did a wonderful job of fundraising for our affiliate. She was always so passionate about everything that we did and was devoted to our mission. Sue was one in a million, and we will never forget her. She has left footprints on our hearts.
